North Street Bridge Work Closes Road for 82 Days

Flood & Erosion Control Board · Meeting of May 7, 2026

CT GREENWICH — North Street Bridge construction project will close road through August 28. The Flood and Erosion Control Board reviewed capital flood control projects at its May 7 meeting, with the North Street Bridge work requiring full road closure from June 8 through August 28. The state postponed the Route 1 Bridge at Hillside Road to 2029-2030.

The Fairfield Road Culverts project moved up priority and received 100 percent LOTCIP grant reimbursement, with fall bidding and construction to follow once the North Street project is complete.
