Energy committee tracks solar, HVAC and EV projects

CT GREENWICH — Greenwich energy committee advances renewable and EV initiatives. The Energy Management Advisory Committee reviewed seven active municipal sustainability projects, including solar installations at Cohen Eastern Greenwich Civic Center (Greenskies planning spring installation) and Hamilton Avenue School (All State Plumbing Pros of Danbury awarded HVAC replacement contract, work starting spring break), with Glenville School's solar delayed pending roof replacement. Two new EV chargers at the Newman Street garage now serve DPW's two Ford E-vans; Parking Services operates three electric vehicles fleet-wide.

A newly formed Arch Street Task Force, chaired by committee member Sabine Schoenberg, began reviewing the former teen center's condition and future municipal use.
