Greenwich energy board reviews solar and heating projects across town facilities.

CT GREENWICH — Greenwich energy committee updates on multiple town-wide projects. Acting Chair Sabine Schoenberg led the Energy Management Advisory Committee through reviews of solar and efficiency initiatives across municipal and school facilities. The Cohen Eastern Greenwich Civic Center solar installation has cleared departmental and building department review and is expected to begin work in June.

The committee discussed heat-pump and geothermal options for the Wallace Center and noted that energy-narrative reviews in Planning and Zoning have improved over the past two years, with permit applicants now submitting more carefully developed energy proposals.
