CT GREENWICH — BET Policy Committee approves modernization of decades-old Reference Book. The Board of Estimate and Taxation Policy and Procedures Committee approved at its January 29 meeting a comprehensive modernization project for the town's Reference Book, originally published in 1982 and last updated in 2018. Chair Laura Erickson said the goal is to make the governance document more user-friendly.
The committee assigned review and revision sections to the Law Department, Comptroller Joan Lynch, Town Attorney Barbara Schellenberg, the Audit Committee, Budget Committee, Debt and Fund Balance Policy Committee, Investment Advisory Committee, Board of Ethics, and Town Assessor. Committee members will submit language revisions using tracked changes, with the committee reconvening after feedback is received from reviewing parties.
