Retirement Board defers asset-allocation decision pending hedge-fund analysis

Retirement Board · Meeting of January 30, 2026

CT GREENWICH — Greenwich Retirement Board defers strategic asset allocation vote. The Board, with assets valued at $735 million as of December 31, 2025, reviewed four proposed asset allocation variants and indicated preference for a Diversified SAA option that includes hedge fund exposure. However, the Board deferred the formal decision to February pending additional performance data and stress-testing analysis from advisor Neuberger Berman.

The calendar-year-to-date return of 10.84% underperformed the 12.12% Policy Benchmark, largely due to a removed fund. The Board also approved ten January retirements and one February retirement.
