Retirement Board sets 4.40 percent annuity interest rate for fiscal 2027

CT GREENWICH — Greenwich Retirement Board sets 4.40 percent annuity rate for next fiscal year. The five-member board, chaired by Michael Wacek, unanimously approved the interest rate for accounts under the pension plan's annuity program for fiscal year 2026-27. The board also reviewed investment performance showing the plan's market value at $749 million as of April 30, with fiscal year-to-date returns of approximately 10.9 percent.
Private Markets holdings stood at 26 percent of the portfolio, above the 24 percent target, with a 2025 calendar-year return of 5.9 percent. The board approved the June 2026 retirement of Deborah Travers and April 2026 disbursements.
