Conservation Commission updates members on Quiet Yards and fish ladder progress

CT GREENWICH — Greenwich Conservation Commission reviews updates on Quiet Yards enforcement and fish monitoring. Beth Evans, Director of Environmental Affairs, reported that the Quiet Yards leaf blower enforcement initiative continues with dedicated staff and outreach materials. The Mianus River Fish Ladder has passed approximately 44,000 fish this season, down from historic highs but establishing a new monitoring baseline.
The Commission also heard about a proposed pollinator garden demonstration and a River Restoration Network conference focused on tributary connectivity.
