Conservation Commission approves pollinator garden, adds energy committee

CT GREENWICH — Greenwich Conservation Commission approves new pollinator garden, celebrates food waste bin opening. Director of Environmental Affairs Beth Evans announced a collaborative Plant It Wild Pollinator Garden at 97 Field Point Road involving the Greenwich Garden Club and Parks and Recreation, with food waste recycling bins installed through an MMI Grant now open at Binney Park (two bins) and Cos Cob Park (one bin). The Commission unanimously approved adding the Energy Management Advisory Committee to its agenda with Commissioner Laura di Bonaventura as liaison, and commissioners voted to reinstate an annual Conservation Award recognizing exceptional citizen participation in conservation and sustainability work.
