Retirement Board approves 3 percent contractual COLA for July

CT GREENWICH — Retirement Board approves 3 percent cost-of-living increase. The board unanimously approved a contractual 3 percent cost-of-living adjustment for retirees effective July 1, 2026, with Chairman Michael Wacek presiding over four voting members. Retirement Plan Administrator Ken Berkson reported the plan's assets totaled $757 million as of May 31, with year-to-date performance at 5.26 percent against a 5.907 percent benchmark.

The board also unanimously approved July 2026 retirements for Pearlyann Boodoosingh, Catherine Martise, and Danielle Petruso, and approved May 2026 routine disbursements. Berkson outlined planned improvements to the call center and a July meeting with State Street to discuss retiree payment processing.
