Committee discusses ADA improvements and school building projects

CT GREENWICH — Committee addresses municipal budget proposals for accessibility improvements and reviews school building progress. The Greenwich Advisory Committee for People With Disabilities discussed potential accessibility enhancements from the Parks and Recreation Department and Department of Public Works during its January meeting. Members received updates on the JCS elevator installation and ongoing construction bidding for phases 3 and 4.
Pascal Brody and Lorraine Termini presented on specialized outdoor recreation equipment including wheelchairs and track chairs through the nonprofit SOAR (Specialized Outdoor Adaptive Recreation). Tyler Fairbairn discussed the Community Development Advisory Committee's grant distribution to Greenwich nonprofits.
