Arch Street Task Force Charts Public Survey Path After Building Vandalism

FS Arch Street Task Force · Meeting of April 10, 2026

CT GREENWICH — First Selectman's Arch Street Task Force addresses building vandalism, charts survey path. The task force discussed extensive water damage from vandalism affecting all three floors of the Arch Street building and damaging the elevator; the Teen Center Board's insurance expired March 18 with no confirmation of renewal, triggering an April 21 hearing. The task force determined to gather public input through a scientific survey before issuing a Request for Proposals rather than proceeding immediately.

Task force member Sabine Schoenberg will follow up with the First Selectman regarding funding from a 250,000 dollar park budget allocation for the survey.
