Board advances Hamill Rink project and changes RTM petition rules

CT GREENWICH — Greenwich Board of Selectmen votes to advance Hamill Rink to planning commission. The board unanimously approved referral of the redesigned municipal rink to the Planning and Zoning Commission for consideration as a municipal improvement, a major milestone for the ice facility planned at Morlot Park. The updated design includes improvements to Strazza Field and renewable energy features including geothermal HVAC and solar panels.

In separate action, the board unanimously approved a charter change raising the threshold for resident petitions to the Representative Town Meeting from 20 to 350 signatures.
