Board approves Glenville Road paving, school construction work
Board of Selectmen · Meeting of May 28, 2026
CT GREENWICH — Greenwich Selectmen approve two infrastructure projects for summer work. The Board unanimously green-lighted an overnight closure of Glenville Road from June 21 to June 25 for pavement work and restriping, with equipment staged on Pemberwick Road near the fire house and outreach via digital message boards and social media. A second unanimous vote approved a temporary closure of Indian Rock Lane and Stanwich Road beginning early July for six to eight weeks to relocate sanitary sewage infrastructure related to Central Middle School construction; Turner Construction representatives Joe Phelan and Peter Alfano said traffic will be detoured via Orchard Street and Stanwich Road with no impact to residential driveways and coordination planned with a nearby Baptist church to maintain access.
