Board approves participation in opioid settlement

CT GREENWICH — Board of Selectmen unanimously approves Greenwich participation in $97 million opioid settlement. The town will receive approximately $22,000 as Greenwich's 0.0225 percent share of the combined settlement involving six pharmaceutical defendants, with Demetria Nelson, Town Commissioner of Human Services, overseeing the funds. Greenwich must participate by May 4 to join the agreement, which requires the town to spend settlement funds according to specified restrictions.
The Board also unanimously approved 2026 outdoor dining fees, continuing the sidewalk dining program through October 4.
