Board of Ethics dismisses complaint against Town Attorney
Board of Ethics · Meeting of May 20, 2026
CT GREENWICH — Greenwich Board of Ethics unanimously dismisses Town Attorney complaint over litigation advice. Chair Paul de Bary led the board in voting 3-0 to adopt Decision 26-01 after an executive session, dismissing a hotline complaint alleging the Town Attorney improperly advised the Board of Education on legal counsel and refused to pay defense attorney bills in a Town v. The board determined the complaint lacked "substantial financial interest," a required element for a Code violation under Section 4.
