Greenwich Panel Appoints Two to OPEB Board

CT GREENWICH — Greenwich's investment panel appoints Bednar and Alchek to OPEB trust board unanimously. The Investment Advisory Committee recommended the appointments of Sally Bednar and Elliot Alchek to the Other Post-Employment Benefits Trust Board, filling vacancies left by departing members, with Bednar's term expiring June 30, 2026 and Alchek's expiring June 30, 2028. Committee Chair Alchek led a detailed review of the OPEB Portfolio managed by Morgan Stanley, which returned 7.53 percent for the fiscal year through January 20, 2026, underperforming its benchmark by approximately 150 basis points while exceeding the assumed rate of return of 6.75 percent.
The committee voted to continue monitoring portfolio performance for three months before reconsidering the active management approach.
