IAC recommends $6 million for general fund interest income fiscal 2027

Board of Estimate & Taxation Investment Advisory Committee · Meeting of February 20, 2026

CT GREENWICH — IAC recommends $6 million interest projection for fiscal 2027. The Investment Advisory Committee voted unanimously to advise the town budget committee that $6 million is a reasonable projection for General Fund interest income in fiscal 2027, up from a previous $5 million estimate. Treasurer Nataliya Yemets reported the General Fund cash balance of $232.9 million as of January 31, 2026.

The Committee also reviewed the $64.2 million OPEB Trust Portfolio, expressing concerns about Morgan Stanley's performance; the portfolio lagged its benchmark by 41 basis points in January, though it returned 1.67 percent net of fees.
