Nathaniel Witherell Board updates fall-prevention policies, reviews quality trends

Nathaniel Witherell Board · Meeting of April 8, 2026

CT GREENWICH — Nathaniel Witherell Board's Quality of Life and Care Committee reviews updated policies and quality data. Director of Nursing John Anantharaj reported that updated fall-prevention, pressure-ulcer, and infection-prevention policies, combined with staff education and increased surveillance, are driving improving trends in the most recent quarter. Zachary Cesare, Director of IT, noted that many tracked quality measures are trending favorably, though quarterly data remains incomplete.

The committee discussed preparation for a state CMS survey that is overdue and may occur at any time, including the potential value of a mock survey.
