Selectmen expand advisory committees, approve parking ordinances
Board of Selectmen · Meeting of June 25, 2026
CT GREENWICH — The Greenwich Board of Selectmen unanimously approved the expansion of the Energy Management Advisory Committee from seven to nine members to facilitate participation with five active school building committees. Selectwoman Lauren Rabin championed the expansion, noting it would allow EMAC to better facilitate its advisory role. The board also voted unanimously to amend the traffic ordinance for Division Street near Greenwich Hospital to create a residential parking permit zone addressing parking difficulties for residents on the narrow street.
A second ordinance amendment changed parking spaces in front of Greenwich High School on Hillside Road from reserved student to reserved staff parking, bringing signage into compliance. The selectmen also appointed eight individuals to serve on various town commissions through 2030.
