Greenwich RTM Approves $1.3M for Winter Snow Removal

CT GREENWICH — Greenwich RTM approves $1.3 million for winter snow operations. Commissioner of Public Works James Michel presented the appropriation for winter 2025-26, which includes $445,000 for highway materials, $360,000 for highway overtime services, and $130,000 for parking equipment rental to cover costs from the severe winter season. The measure passed 181-1-1.
Separately, the consent calendar confirmed four municipal board appointments: Donna LaViolette to Flood and Erosion Control, Jenny Larkin and Bernard Armstrong to Harbor Management Commission, and Joui Hessel to Board of Ethics, while appropriating $142,700 from the 2023 Election Excellence Grant. A proposed $200,000 gift for a George H.W. Bush statue was withdrawn.
