CT GREENWICH — RTM members vote to lower meeting-call threshold. The Representative Town Meeting voted to amend the town charter, reducing the number of registered voters needed to call a special meeting from 350 to 50 after multiple competing floor amendments. A Budget Overview Committee proposal for 100 voters passed 107-88-3, followed by a Finance Committee proposal for 50 voters that passed 99-92-4, which became the final measure.
The RTM also approved $700,000 for galvanized pipe replacement at Nathaniel Witherell (191-5-2 vote) and processed 18 committee appointments via consent calendar.
