Greenwich approves $8.1 million Old Greenwich School expansion

CT GREENWICH — Greenwich Representative Town Meeting backs $8.1 million school expansion. The meeting voted 151 to 13, with 14 abstentions, to appropriate $8.177 million for the Old Greenwich School expansion and renovation project, with 185 members present and Moderator Alexis Voulgaris presiding. James Waters of District 12 moved both the appropriation and a companion resolution authorizing $8.177 million in general obligation bonds to finance the project, which passed 162 to 5 with 8 abstentions, establishing the funding mechanism for the multi-year expansion.
