Board approves $700,000 appropriation for Nathaniel Witherell pipe replacement

CT GREENWICH — Board of Estimate and Taxation approves $700,000 emergency appropriation for pipe replacement. The Board unanimously approved the emergency appropriation for Nathaniel Witherell to address unforeseen infrastructure damage including severely corroded galvanized piping installed in 1976, compromised structural studs, and 131 seized water valves, adding $143,783 to the original $702,000 project estimate. The Board also unanimously approved a $13,795.50 settlement in the matter of Mats Shore v.
Town of Greenwich, accepted a Comptroller's Report detailing a $180 million bond and note financing, approved budget adjustments totaling $82,635.23 for Police and Health departments, and appointed Sally Bednar and Elliot Alchek to the OPEB Trust Board.
