Central Middle School nears completion; BET approves $9.6M in projects

CT GREENWICH — Board of Estimate and Taxation approves $9.6M in capital projects. The Greenwich BET unanimously approved 11 routine capital carry-forward items totaling $9.6 million at its June 22 meeting, including $2.638 million for Senior Center upgrades and $2 million for Greenwich Harbor Dredging, while deferring two Round Hill Fire Station projects worth $4.75 million to July. Chairman David Weisbrod led action on major infrastructure spending as Board member Harry Fisher reported that the Central Middle School project remains on schedule for substantial completion by August 4.

The board also unanimously established a new Debt and Fund Balance Policy Committee as a standing committee to oversee long-term capital planning and debt policy.
