Board approves $6 million for Central Middle School contingency
Board of Estimate & Taxation Regular Meeting · Meeting of May 18, 2026
CT GREENWICH — Greenwich board approves $6 million for Central Middle School contingency. The interim appropriation replenishes the contingency fund, which eroded due to $3.2 million in unanticipated fire suppression requirements and $1 million in Owner's Representative costs discovered after contract award. The Board imposed a condition on $1.6 million, requiring a Central Middle School Building Committee report; that condition passed 6 to 5 before the full $6 million appropriation passed unanimously.
The Board also approved $400,000 for the Affordable Housing Trust Fund and set fiscal year 2027 mill rates.
