Board moves $41M rink project toward town vote, defers Binney Park decision

CT GREENWICH — Greenwich Parks Board hears $41 million rink project nearing town vote. Director Joe Siciliano and Chairman Scott Johnson presented the appropriation to the board after the Budget and Finance Committee forwarded it with conditions: $2.7 million for design (released upon town representative approval) and $38 million-plus for construction (contingent on a business plan and fundraising effort). The Board approved prior meeting minutes 7-0-1 with one abstention.

Johnson emphasized the fully bonded project will not raise the municipal mill rate.
