Board of Estimate & Taxation Budget Committee · Meeting of April 14, 2026
CT GREENWICH — Greenwich Budget Committee approves bond reconciliation and police overtime funding. Comptroller Joan Lynch and Bond Counsel Keisha Palmer of Robinson & Cole moved a resolution reconciling capital-project bond issuances and appropriations spanning 2008-2018, separating $1.4 million in Sewer Improvement Fund proceeds from General Fund amounts. The committee voted unanimously to approve $85,685 for police dispatcher overtime addressing a shortage of approximately five positions, with two dispatchers in training and a third expected by month end, and $19,224 from a 100 percent state-funded distracted driving enforcement grant.
An elementary school utilization study found the district's capacity projected to peak at 98 percent in 2030-31, with five schools exceeding 100 percent utilization.
