Town implements AI assessment in vacancy-filling process

CT GREENWICH — BET Human Resources Committee discusses AI assessment for filling town vacancies. HR Director Mary Pepe presented a new vacancy-filling process requiring departments to assess whether artificial intelligence could impact any aspect of a position before approval. Chair Elliot Alchek supported encouraging employees to use AI as a service-delivery tool.

The committee also heard a first-read outline of a proposed Management & Confidential Compensation Study from Doug Fenton and Joshua Brown, designed to address concerns about grade assignments, market competitiveness of salaries and benefits, and potential compression of M&C compensation relative to represented employees.
