Greenwich HR Committee reviews staffing gaps and compensation

CT GREENWICH — Greenwich's Board of Estimate Human Resources Committee reviewed 58 open positions town-wide and heard registrars' request for employee benefits. Registrars Fred DeCaro and Mary Hagerty documented averaging 29.88 hours per week, citing ACA eligibility and noting that a regional survey found most Connecticut towns provide comparable benefits. HR Director Mary Pepe presented a revised management salary schedule anchoring range minimums to market data.

Year-to-date unemployment costs through December totaled $211,795, up 60 percent from the prior year, with the Board of Education accounting for 52 percent of expenses.
