Commission orders $875 August rent in code-violation complaint

Fair Rent Commission · Meeting of July 15, 2026

CT GREENWICH — Fair Rent Commission finds rent partially unfair over code violations. The Commission voted 6-1 on July 15 that the current rent of $3,850 was partially unconscionable and voted unanimously to set August 2026 rent at $875. The tenant, Mr.

Franchetti, had leased the property since July 2022 at an initial $5,500 monthly; the landlords, Ms. Fang and Mr. Zheng, had already reduced rent by $1,650.

The complaint was filed May 19, 2026, and the lease expired June 30, 2026.
