Committee reviews major capital projects exceeding $130 million

CT GREENWICH — The BET Debt and Fund Balance Policy Committee reviewed major capital projects exceeding $130 million on February 18, 2026, including the $59 million GHS Campus renovation with design completion targeted in six to nine months and construction potentially starting summer 2027, and the $41.2 million Hamel Rink replacement. The Board of Education outlined the $43 million Riverside School renovation and $27.8 million administration building relocation. Committee members received RTM input recommending public-private partnerships and extended debt maturities for major projects, and noted that open capital projects decreased from 281 to 223, with $4.4 million in year-to-date closeouts.
