Board re-elects officers as fiscal year closes

CT GREENWICH — Board of Human Services holds fiscal year finale with ARPA wrap-up. Greenwich's human services board met June 16 in its final regular session of FY2026, unanimously re-electing Patty Roberts as Chair, David Snyder as Vice Chair, and Debbie Appelbaum as Secretary. Commissioner Demetria Nelson reported the department is operating 14 percent under budget and reviewed the deployment of $859,250 in federal ARPA emergency funds across behavioral health services, client assistance, youth services, and senior technology programs.
The Youth Services Bureau Administrator position, initially funded through ARPA, has been approved as a permanent addition to the department budget, extending Danielle Jean Guillaume-Sittol's work with the Juvenile Review Board and mental health training programs.
