Budget Committee approves $6.3M for Old Greenwich School expansion

CT GREENWICH — Budget Committee approves capital funding for Old Greenwich and North Street projects. The four-member committee voted unanimously to authorize a $6,277,940 interim appropriation and $6,227,940 bonding resolution for the Old Greenwich School Expansion and Renovation Project, with construction set to begin in April 2026 on a $53,894,435 total project with Downes as construction manager. The committee also approved a $1,061,000 appropriation for North Street Bridge Rehabilitation, with total revised project cost of $4,760,562.61 partially offset by a $4,260,000 state LOTCIP grant.
A $47,489.68 FY26 Youth Services Bureau state grant was approved as amended. A public hearing on the budget is scheduled for January 27, 2026.
