Committee approves retirement board charter amendment

CT GREENWICH — The Board of Estimate and Taxation Law Committee approved a retirement system charter amendment. Committee Chair Stephen Selbst and member Leslie Tarkington voted unanimously to advance the amendment to Town Code Article 14, Section 197(a)(3), which the committee had recommended at a prior February meeting. Town Attorney Barbara Schellenberg presented the change.
The committee also reviewed the Law Department's FY2026 year-to-date budget and discussed FY27 Budget Resolution modifications, deferring concerns raised by Board member Joshua Brown to the FY2028 budget cycle. A special meeting was scheduled to continue budget resolution deliberations.
