Inland Wetlands Agency approves 10 residential permits, defers Indian Field project
Inland Wetlands & Watercourses Agency · Meeting of March 23, 2026
CT GREENWICH — Wetlands Agency approves 10 residential permits, defers Indian Field development. Chairman Elliot Benton and the Agency rejected a fee reduction request for 42 Birchwood Drive on a 6-0 vote, maintaining the $1,250 extension fee despite applicants' contention they had completed 75 to 80 percent of work. The Agency approved residential construction and renovation projects across Greenwich, including approvals at 17 Pleasant View Place, 121 Round Hill Road, and 484 Valley Road (with a $4,100 violation correction fee), all with conditions protecting wetland buffers and mandating planting mitigation for tree removal.
The Agency deferred a major demolition-and-reconstruction project at 518 and 520 Indian Field Road after DPW Engineering flagged significant drainage system nonconformities.
